John’s work is motivated by a simple question: how do you make complex systems work better for people?
This curiosity began in childhood. Fascinated by how things worked, John spent his time taking objects apart and putting them back together. Fittingly, one of his first jobs was as a bicycle mechanic. The combination of attention to detail and functional problem-solving was ideal, but it paid poorly and he yearned to move out of his parents’ basement. So he decided to go to design school.
After earning a BFA in Graphic Design from the Rhode Island School of Design and a brief stint in Hollywood, John made his way to New York City, where he helped agencies establish and lead digital teams. Over time, he gravitated toward healthcare, a highly regulated environment where human needs are often overshadowed by process, policy, and risk.
John became known for designing within those constraints, finding novel ways to simplify complexity and advocate for users against the odds. In 2016, that work led to a Bronze Lion at Cannes for The Topographical Model of MS, in partnership with creator by Stephen C. Krieger, MD and his peer-reviewed paper in Neurology: Neuroimmunology & Neuroinflammation.
Today, John applies the same mindset to machine intelligence. As SVP of Human Insights and AI Solutions at Omnicom Health (Wildtype) and an AI Accelerator for OmniAI, he helps lead AI transformation within the agency and network. His work focuses on using agentic AI to modernize pharmaceutical marketing workflows and bring practical, compliance-ready intelligence into one of advertising’s most regulated creative environments.
John’s philosophy is borrowed from the industry he serves: dose appropriately. Rather than overwhelming organizations with wholesale disruption, he architects AI systems that meet teams where they are—calibrated to any level of automation maturity and designed to augment, not replace, human judgment.
The results speak in a language his clients understand: 85% cost reduction in select production workflows, a 25% increase in key tasks across disciplines, and a 495% uptick in AI utilization across hundreds of employees within four months of deployment.
Equal parts strategist, builder, and pragmatist, John remains perpetually curious about how systems work and how to build them better.
